Alvin Duran

Software Developer

My name is Alvin and I'm from the Dominican Republic. I’ve been building software professionally since 2012, and I really enjoy doing it. I remember feeling excited over the weekends about things I was going to work on the Monday after. My first interaction with code was back in 2009 while taking my first programming course at a local software school. I got my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Santo Domingo Technology Institute, here in D.R.

My role in Level 12 is to add value to existing and new products using my skills as a software engineer. Day by day, I have to write new functionalities and ensure that they meet our quality and beauty standards. When I'm not writing code, I normally help my wife Rosa keep my baby boy, Dan, away from potential-death situations. I also like playing music or sports.

Q&A

stackoverflow.com, I'd say. It's useful.

I don't treasure many quotes, but I can share a Bible verse: Proverbs 28:1 "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."

That at the end of the road, I hear this words: "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!'"
